National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met on November 13 with French Diplomatic Counselor to the President Emmanuel Bonne, German Chancellery Foreign and Security Policy Advisor Jens Ploetner, British National Security Advisor Tim Barrow, and Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak. Mr. Yermak provided an update on Ukraine’s counteroffensive. The partners reaffirmed their continued commitment to provide security assistance as Ukraine continues its fight against Russian aggression, as well as to invest in our joint defense industrial bases to support Ukraine’s long term security. They also discussed their sustained support for Ukraine’s economic and energy resilience, as well as its reconstruction. In addition, the group took stock of ongoing efforts to build global consensus in support of a just and lasting peace based on the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity.
