President Biden spoke today with His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan. The leaders discussed their efforts to de-escalate regional tensions, including through an immediate ceasefire and hostage release deal.  The President thanked His Majesty for his friendship, and affirmed unwavering U.S. support for Jordan as a partner and ally in promoting regional peace and security.  The President offered his congratulations to King Abdullah and to Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa on the birth of a baby girl, Iman, over the weekend.
